That was such a sacrilege to attack a family at a sacra mental function. Reading the whole scene had my heart in my throat. Sergio better get ready because the training is about to begin. One enemy of the family is neutralized. Deputy Commissioner Johnson, Shanda's father is lucky to still be six feet above ground.

This book sees the Giancanti/ Diaz men re-establishing their relationships with the donnas in their lives. Alfonzo and Selange remarry, Nico and Ari wait for the birth of their baby and Geo and Shanda adjust to parenthood and grow closer.

This book was well written, full of suspense and surprises. I can't wait to read Animus to see what happens next.These alpha men are so dedicated to their women and families, they are the even keel they need in their lives for being the ruthless men they are. This was a great read!

DISCLAIMER I was a southern belle up until I finished this book... (kinda), so excuse my review because it may contain content, spoilers, and/or expletives that may be suitable for children.

This s*** is addictive! S.W. Frank, you have your own category on my . Not many others get this... they typically go in a genre category. But woman, you are in a class of your own!!!

OK, now on to the book review...

I think this may be hands down the best book in the series. "ASSOCIATES" is very emotionally charged and several times I bottom's up (You have to drink while reading this one).

The Writing - Phenomenal

The Story Telling - Superb, Informative, Intelligent, Informative

The Characters - "Whew, honey chile, were to start."

ALFONZO - If this man exists please tell him I am looking for him. Alfonzo is... s*** Alfonzo IS!
SELANGE - I love to hate her cause she is so "perfect" but the character of Selange literally became my hero in this book. If you ever doubt what type of woman she is... you won't anymore. I keep thinking of Alicia Keys song Superwoman

NICO - I will always love him. He is a warrior through and through... I can't stand that he still has to keep fighting his demons but that is our Nico... and He is the 2nd half of my fav couple
GIUSEPPE - God I love this man for reasons unknown. He is really growing up
SHANDA - I am a cheerleader of hers but I am on the fence now about her and Geo... Two sticks of dynamite only make for a bigger explosion
SERGIO - This man is thick! All I can say for now.
TONY - Will have you wanting more.
The rest of the clan is just as intriguing. All special... except maybe LUCIA! What the F*** was that S***?

OM to the G where do I begin....Associates, my love for Al and Sel only gets stronger. Geo will forever be my boo, with his witty, hot-tempered, Now Loving but crazy self. I smile at his growth and maturity. Nico will always be the ride or die. I don't care what anyone says Sergio is still shaky in my book and I'm very on the fence about Bruno. I can't put my finger on it yet or the longevity of worth regarding Sergio. Volume IX held me captive; SW Frank had me salivating like Pavlov's dogs at the end. Lol I'm like speed reading, biting my nails, holding my breathe and literally in the heat of the moment like I'm in Italy in arms with my familia! The end left me flabbergasted, I'm like oh no she didn't, heck to the nah, oh no where is volume X! I mean I literally hope it is on the way to being submitted. I am ADDICTED, if you have not read this series and yet to enter into Alfonzo's world just jump in with both feet; you will not be disappointed. I love SW Frank, reading her series is like looking at a canvas holding a pallet of hues. Some are bright, bold, dull, shiny, dark, sparkly, transparent and others with endless depth; those are her characters, their lives and experiences! I'm not going to rant anymore ok maybe a lil more, buy the series and join the Inner Circle on FB...you will never look back! In the Inner Circle we talk, share, vote, laugh and cheer SW Frank on to keep writing; we are like family. With her as our Matriarch listening, receiving, responding and laughing with us. Now my rallying begins SW Frank Volume X, Volume X, Volume X!!! P.s. I loved the Dedication. XOXO
I tried to prolong the reading so it could last a few days, but S.W.Frank, you sucked me in like a moth to a flame. I was glued to my seat and I read the entire book in one sitting. The ending was so riveting and heart palpitating, it almost ripped my inners out. I almost included Alfonzo, Selange and Giuseppe in my night-time prayers, then I had an ah ha moment- "This s*** is not real, get a grip". However; this is a testament to your writing skills. You have the ability to take mere words and create this "thing" that gets into a person's head and into their soul and causes them to care. Your descriptions of places are so spot-on.

I am very familiar with several of the places you have mentioned in the series, and as I read, I can literally picture in my mind's eye the locations. This series is far from over; you have got to keep it rolling. I know that Alfonzo, Selange and Giuseppe are going to be alright because after all, THEY ARE GIANCANTI!!!! THEY WILL RISE AGAIN !!!!! AND MAY GOD HELP THOSE WHO UNLEASHED THAT TERROR.
